"La Fórmula" is Maluma's first new track of 2023 and will be part of his highly anticipated upcoming album due later this year and kicks off a new era for the Latin icon. With their successful collaboration on the salsa version of Maluma's smash hit "Felices los 4", a close friendship was born between the two. Maluma who has been a huge fan of salsa music since childhood, wanted to work with Marc once again, this time on an original salsa track. While sharing music, Marc fell in love with a pop/urban song that Maluma had recorded, and they decided join forces to make it their new collab.

The official video for "La Formula" was shot at The Hit Factory recording studio in Miami and produced by Royalty Films. It captures what happened in the studio while recording the song: the artists, producers, songwriters, and musicians involved and their wonderful rapport as they worked together. 

Last week, the Spring/Summer 2023 campaign from BOSS announced Maluma as one of their new brand ambassadors. Their new campaign “Be your own BOSS,” provides a celebrity-filled exploration of what it takes to become a BOSS, while inspiring others to embrace their full potential and live life on their own terms – with confidence, style, and a forward-looking vision. Like Maluma, each of the celebrated and globally recognised talents overcame obstacles and personal struggles to become their own BOSS. These BOSS personalities always knew what they wanted, and their breakthroughs were achieved through a series of personal choices. While destined for greatness, they neatly personify the fact that BOSSes aren’t born – they’re made. 

The Colombian superstar recently received eight Premio Lo Nuestro nominations including: Pop - Male Artist Of The Year; Song Of The Year for "Cada Quien" with Grupo Firme; The Perfect Mix Of The Year for "Cada Quien" with Grupo Firme; Tour Of The Year; Pop - Song Of The Year for "Sobrio"; Pop-Urban - Song Of The Year for "Mama Tetema" ft. Rayvanny; Urban - Album Of The Year for The Love & Sex Tape; Regional Mexican - Banda Song Of The Year for "Cada Quien" with Grupo Firme.

With his album The Love & Sex Tape, Maluma is nominated for a 2023 GRAMMY in the Best Album Urbano category. The prestigious awards will take place on February 5 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and broadcast live on the CBS network.
