I must say
interviewing Caspa The Dopest Ghost In Town is more than my pleasure!
Caspa opening up and allowing us a birds eye view of his past music
production and the new album Caspa 500 set to be released JUNE 29th
2015!!!!! Bella Bass Fly will premier exclusive content here on the
blog! Your source!
"500 is an album I wanted to make that didn't compromise, and allowed me to be completely selfish. I
wanted
to be in the studio and have fun. I didn't want to think about who
would like it, or where it would be placed. It wasn't about making music
to fill stadiums; it was about making music to fill basements. It's
dark, cinematic, emotional, and raw. 500 is the soundtrack to that vision and movement." - Caspa
1. Which musical artists influenced you the most as a young adolescent? Why?
I'm a big all round music fan so I've
had a lot of musical influences in my life and I still do. One album
that comes to mind is Mobb Deeps - Hell on Earth - this was such a big influence on me, especially this track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gps6J9SKi6I just love the stripped back rawness
and simplicity, it definitely influenced my production especially in the
early years. I listened to this album over and over!
2. How did you know you could make music professionally?
I've never thought about it or planned
to I just did it, people liked it and now apparently I'm a professional!
I'm not trying to sound blasé, but that's literally how it
happened and for me that's the best way to be an artist - just let it
come as it comes.
3. What motivates you to create another album?
I feel I haven't finished showing people
what I'm capable of, I'm just starting. I've still got that drive love
and passion that I did when I first started and if not more so now. I
just want to show people that what I do can still be very exciting.
4. What is the meaning behind the album artwork for 500?
For me it's a statement, a my vision and
my current journey. I treated this album like a soundtrack to a movie.
Rather than me telling people, I would like to know what it means to
them when looking at the artwork and listening to the music, that's
what's more important.
5. How has the genre changed over the last five years?
Like any genre it's had it's ups and
downs and fortunately the commercialisation and crap has now passed
which I'm real happy about. Every genre goes through this phase - it's a
natural progression of music that becomes popular. But I now feel like
Dubstep can be stronger than ever, and that's what I want to show
people.
6. How has technology effected your producing over the years?
I think it's benefited it greatly,
it's become more accessible and easier to express your ideas. Also the
quality and what you can do has become much greater, you don't have to
have a $million studio to make great sounding music, you just need a
pair of speakers and a computer. Don't get me wrong - I love the old
school analogue sound and what that brings, but I love the accessibility
of the new technology.
7. What are 5 key factors for building a successful label?
Strong vision, great artists, great music, a budget but the most important thing is drive and dedication.
8. Do you ever get sick of traveling on tour?
Yea, all the time! I absolutely despise
it! Most people travel one hour to work nine hours, I travel nine hours
to work one. But It is what it is, I wouldn't change a thing I still
love it and get a buzz out of it, and that's the most important thing
for me.
9. What is the craziest thing to happen to you on tour?
Dislocating my shoulder by stage diving! Luckily it was the show of my tour, otherwise I would've been truly fucked!
10. Who was the first person to support your journey with music?
Three guys - Oris Jay, Lombardo and Jay
Da Flex - all were original residents at the first ever Dubstep night
(before it was even called Dubstep) at FWD>> in London. These guys
for me were the pioneers of what we do today and I'll never forget how
they helped me and gave me the confidence to do what I do now. That's
what I've what I've always tried to pass on and one of the reasons why I
started my labels.
11. Who is your favorite person/ people to tour with?
My best friend, there's nothing like
having good solid people around you who know you for you and not Caspa. I
think that's important to keep you grounded and it's also great that I
can show them what I do and share the experience of travelling the
world, it just makes everything easier and more vibes.
12.What is your favorite venue?
There's a lot of great venues all over
the world that I've played in, so it's a hard question to answer.
There's House of Blues in LA, Cervantes in Denver, Webster Hall in NY,
Plastic People and Fabric in London. They all hold great memories for me
as well as many others! This is as close as an answer you're gonna get
from me on this one!
13. Which country is your favorite to visit?
London is my favourite place in the world nothing else compares!
14. What sets The Dub Police apart from other labels?
What we've done and what we continue to
do - our hard work and our dedication. We've
done things independently as a label that no other labels have done,
nothing is more important to us than quality not quantity, that's
where to starts and that's where it ends.
15 . When you are not making music how do you find relaxation an inspiration
Eating, cooking, smoking, drinking and
spending time with my family and friends, same as anyone else -
sorry nothing rockstar to report!

The beginning of this music video is sobering and telling! Instead of a sad tale, a positive ending. More kids should explore the world of dance and physical activities.
Berlin
based Thomas Gold teamed up with Harrison and HIIO to create ‘Take Me
Home’, a magnificent tune with mesmerizing chords and amazing, warm
vocals. This record is an outstanding progressive slammer and a

with you, so you can relive this excellent piece of music over and over

A strange mechanical device lands on a desolate world and uses the
planet to undergo a startling transformation, that has profound
implications for an entire galaxy.
