Soon touring theatres, Borderless Body asks: What will the body of tomorrow be?
BORDERLESS BODY, the flagship production of MN Dance Company, premiered on Cerje as one of the highlights of the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica – Gorizia 2025.
Developed over four years under the artistic direction of Michal Rynia and Nastja Bremec Rynia, this large-scale performance now continues its journey and will soon be presented in theatres.
The production explores urgent questions of humanity’s future in the age of artificial intelligence, robotics, and climate change:
– What happens when the human body can be “optimized” through technology?
– What will a “body” even mean in the future?
– Can algorithms move a body — and can technology transcend our biological limits?
Through dance, live music, and multimedia, Borderless Body confronts the tension between fragility and perfection, biology and technology, fear and hope. It reflects humanity’s timeless urge to surpass its boundaries — from religion and science to today’s AI and robotics — and asks whether, in reaching for boundlessness, we might finally discover the meaning we seek.
