Co-written and produced by Palestinian-Swedish hitmaker Rami Yacoub (Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, Madonna), "Echoes" opens as a stripped-back piano ballad before soaring into a full-scale, cinematic pop production, mirroring the emotional intensity that Loreen has become known for.
“This song is about soul connection, the kind of bond that doesn’t need space or time to exist. We’re all echoes of each other in some way, and when we truly see one another, we collide, no matter how far apart we may be,” Loreen explains.
A powerful reflection on unity, vulnerability and cosmic love, the track’s soaring chorus, “We’re just like echoes, we’re just like stars in the night / We could be light years apart, but we will always collide” showcases Loreen’s ability to blend the intimate with the universal, continuing her tradition of making pop music that transcends.
