London, UK - Every so often an artist arrives out of nowhere, re-shaping people's expectations and creating a new page in the rulebook in the process. Bino Bames: a 19-year-old multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and creative visionary raised in the neon shadows of the Vegas Strip, is that kind of force. A half-Filipino, half-American outsider, Bino isn't following the playbook, he's rewriting it.
Today Bino reveals his unique voice as a writer; honest brave and fresh; with the release of second single 'Isolated'; a hauntingly personal track that confirms him as a distinctive new voice in alternative music. Where debut single 'Cocktail Princess' was a woozy, genre-warped odyssey for love's beautiful wrecks, 'Isolated' shifts into something more inward a reflection on childhood, masculinity, and the weight of inherited behaviour beautifully illustrated with the accompanying visualiser.
'Isolated' is a song I wrote from my father's perspective,' Bino explains. 'It reflects on moments from my preteen years. It draws a line between the way we moved through those situations back then and the patterns that show up in my adult life now.'
Following the success of debut single 'Cocktail Princess', which picked up early tastemaker support from Clash Magazine, DIY, Wonderland, and The Line of Best Fit, Bino is building fast. With his first standout live shows under his belt and a summer packed with festival appearances ahead, 'Isolated' marks the next step in a breakout year.
Written by Bino alongside frequent collaborators and producers Invisible Men (Lil Peep, Charli XCX), the track is soaked in emotional complexity and lo-fi textures that feel like a personal journal entry. Inspired by Daniel Johnston and Velvet Underground as much as Mac Miller, Elliott Smith and Spike Jonze, Bino is more than a musician - he is a polymath, blurring the lines between music, art, and fashion. A true DIY visionary, he crafts every aspect of his creative world: playing keys, drums, guitar, and bass; producing his own demos; designing his artwork; conceptualising his music videos; and curating his distinct visual identity.
His fashion presence is equally noteworthy. Recently dressed by SONGZIO and Undercover for Milan and Paris Fashion Week, Bino also turned heads front row at London Fashion Week for Mark Fast, cementing his status as a tastemaker beyond just music.
Born Gino James Rayos, Bino Bames is a product of contrast raised amidst the flashing chaos of Las Vegas. 'I'm like, third-generation Las Vegas,' he says. 'It's rare people are actually from there. Growing up there gave me a huge appreciation for showmanship, but it also showed me how to survive. Billion-dollar casinos surrounded by poverty and addictionthat contrast defines who I am. If I could survive Vegas, I can survive anything.'
Leaving home at 15, Bino escaped what he describes as 'a place that was going to swallow me whole.' What followed was a nomadic existence as he drifted through New York, LA, and Portland, existing on borrowed couches and borrowed time. Every late-night conversation, every underground show, every rain-slicked alleyway shaped his music before he even realised it.
Currently finishing work on his debut EP 'Gathers No Moss' (due late 2025), Bino Bames is part of a new generation of genre-less creatives tearing up the rules and rebuilding them on their own terms.
