Its summer time, Its hot out there... and DJ Patife is about to make it even HOTTER. Directly from the sun soaked beaches of his native Brazil, SUNANDBASS & V Recordings are proud to bring you DJ Patife Presents - Viva Brazil: SUNANDBASS Sessions.

Patife has compiled new and exclusive music from some of the most exciting producers in Brazil including names such as L-Side, Alibi, Drumagick & DJ Chap along with new music from himself and guest appearances from top class talent such as Command Strange & MC Fats...

This project is an important one. Its represents Patife's re-found love for the game that was re-ignited by a trip to the SUNANDBASS festival. In his own words, DJ Patife tells how and why he felt so inspired.

'From 2009 to 2013, I was away from the industry due to marriage, kids and other personal stuff, but also I’d stepped away from the scene because at that time I wasn't so happy about the music that was out there. A lot of things was changing and I it seemed like a natural time for me to take a break.

Then in 2014, I had my first SUNANDBASS experience, it was a game changer for me in so many ways! As a Drum & Bass lover, it was hard to believe that for a whole week an event took place in a paradise named San Teodoro in Sardinia (Italy). An event full of people who love this music from all around world, all alongside those legends who've been in this scene since the beginning'

As a person who loves to share, I thought about my boys in Brazil who have been following and supporting D&B all these years. I was trying to find a way for all of them, or at least a few of them to come to SUNANDBASS, and to see and feel what I was feeling'

... and thats exactly what he did. Viva Brazil: SUNANDBASS Sessions is a beautifully compiled ode to the SUNANDBASS festival, but also Patife's love of Drum & Bass. This exciting project kicked off last month with 'The Vibe Is Coming EP' EP that was released on both digital and vinyl on SUNANDBASS's own label with a selection of tracks that can also be found here.

The tracks on this compilation are fresh and new but they also manage to capture the essence of the first time you went raving in the sun. This album is a labour of love for Patife, SUNANDBASS & V Recordings.

So simple, without knowledge of their essential place in the greater sphere - the victims of relentless experimentation as their genes were cast and engineered, their greatest warriors brutally locked with primitive force against one another, as splice after splice refined their innermost nature into a limitless purity of violence. They gave up their eyes in the quest for real vision, gave up their souls to match the black pits of their sockets, twisted and contorted in an endless orgy of bloodshed until only the strongest remained. They who were blind to their humanity, stripped of virtue, naked against the vast heavens above, enshrouded in the entrails of their enemies. In the aftermath of each assault, under the watchful eyes of their offworld shepherds, they gathered their strength again and prepared for the next INVASION.

The DUB ELEMENTS duo return to the expansive EATBRAIN label in force, following up their 2 track pincer movement with 'POW' and 'Shots Fired' on the Mirror Universe compilation with their first full release - the INVASION EP. With a rich and heavy background in the dark arts of harder drum and bass, the five tracks within are designed with the pure intent of knocking the hell out of the rave. Featuring fellow Spanish producer and Eatbrain alumni KUNG for a sick frenetic beast of a track in SWITCH, and the emerging capable talents of MANIATICS on the percussion-driven pointed assault of AUTOMATICS - the Invasion EP brings some truly delectable sonic talent to the table. Prepared to have your eardrums thoroughly penetrated by Eatbrain's latest invasive slice of cutting edge audio, and expect to hear the mighty sounds of Dub Elements throughout the closing raves of Summer.

Following hard on the heels of Tim Healey’s widely supported and radio-aired debut on DB Stereo, release 2 sees label owner Tomcraft take the stage with his latest opus.

No stranger to global number 1’s, the Munich-based ‘Loneliness’ producer serves up a slice of ultra groovy tech-funk. A DJ-friendly intro and vocoded vocal carves up the sonics with its cut-up groove before the juggernaut kick and bass slam in.

Road-tested across the globe by Tomcraft this spring and summer, the tune has been an anchor in his sets teleporting the dancefloor to euphoric beat-laden boogie heaven, whenever and wherever it’s unleashed.

On remix duty and ahead of their debut single on the label next month is Bennun & Healey - Tim Healey’s new project with Bristolian sound-smith Colin Bennun. They mine a throbbing techno groove, where rolling sub bass collides with a de-tuned Arp to deliver party pandaemonium. Like the sonic lovechild of Skream and Solomun - this is peak-time perfection.

The Mucho Stylez rework digs a deep clubby-tech vibe and tribal groove, paying homage to the vocoded vocal from the original but peppering the arrangement with a progressive groove and racing high hats.

It’s another belter from DB Stereo.
