My Winter Roadtrip to Banff

“This was one of those trips that felt like it might be over before it even started. After four days of fog, rain, and the in-between season, the Canadian Rockies transformed overnight. This film follows a winter road trip through Banff and Yoho National Parks, beginning at Lake Louise after a major snowfall and continuing north along the epic vistas of Icefields Parkway toward Jasper. Along the way, I finally got to see Peyto Lake the way I’ve always hoped to, blanketed in fresh snow. I watched the sun rise over a frozen Two Jack Lake, crossed paths with a herd of elk beneath Mount Rundle, and waited it out at Morant’s Curve for one of Banff’s most iconic scenes. On the final day, I made one last push north to Emerald Lake, before turning back onto the Icefields Parkway for a final glimpse of my favorite mountain the Rockies. This trip didn’t unfold the way I expected, but sometimes the best moments happen when you stay a little longer and let the mountains finish the story.”
