“This song is so special to me. Is it love? Is it chemicals?
This song encompasses so many emotions and soundscapes. I really wanted to ensure the visuals of this video matched my vision of how the sounds make me feel – the colors and emotions they emit.
Takes me a long time to do these music videos. From shooting it on super 8 film, coloring, developing, scanning the film – to actually editing the video myself on premiere – it's a grind. It's really become a passion project of mine to be in full creative control and help these songs reach their highest creative potential.
First played this song at EDC Las Vegas. It felt right to debut it at 3am Monday morning as my opening song. It's not a mainstream song, it's a darker song with this side of euphoria. Through the darkness, there is light.
Shoutout Austin Ciesko for helping shoot the video, and of course to Nat Slater who has just been such an amazing creative partner on this song from songwriting, recording, to helping with creative. I love making music with my friends.
