The first two Sea Star editions have charmed the numerous audience and the international and regional performers who have talked up the quality and vibe of the festival, stunning Croatian coast, as well as the hospitality. The 2018 edition brought many improvements among which the new looks of Addiko Tesla Stage was certainly the most spectacular. It was the largest stage ever set in this part of Croatia, and it dominated the beautiful lagoon where the festival is set.
The Stella Maris complex already saw more than 80,000 visitors who enjoyed the unforgettable performances of the acclaimed international and local music stars, such as The Prodigy, Robin Schulz, Fatboy Slim, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hurts, Paul Kalkbrenner, Paul Van Dyk, Pendulum, Dubioza Kolektiv, Kiša metaka, Nipplepeople, Krankšvester and Tram 11.
The success of the 2018 edition resulted in the nomination for the Best Medium-Sized Festival, i.e. the best festival up to 40,000 visitors at the European Festival Awards! Sea Star’s success fits in perfectly with the success of all other festivals from Exit’s family which earned eight nominations in total.

Sea Star, is part of unique EXIT festival family, together with award winning EXIT festival in Novi Sad, Sebia, as well three other festivals Sea Dance in Buljarica, Montenegro, Revolution in Timisoara, Romania and Festival 84 at Olympic mountain Jahorina in Bosnia and Hercegovina.
Axtone are pleased to finally welcome true legends Chocolate Puma for their debut single release on the label, collaborating with another debutant, Chinese rising star Carta.
Chocolate Puma are a Dutch DJ/Producer duo consisting of René ter Horst and Gaston Steenkist aka Dj Zki & Dobre. They are two of Holland’s most celebrated producers, with a career spanning 25 years, 400+ releases and countless remixes under their various guises.
Carta is an upcoming DJ whose sounds are influenced largely by Swedish House Mafia and many of the progressive house icons of the decade. Carta has quickly established himself as the frontrunner of electronic musical talent from China. Born of Italian and Chinese ethnicity in Hong Kong, he later spent many years in the UK honing his electric sound.
“重 (Zhong)” is roughly translated as “is there anyone out there who’s into heavy bass” and judging by the reactions on dance floors, the track has been uniting kindred spirits across the globe who are indeed, into heavy bass.
Early supporters have included Alesso and Tiesto with Axtone bossman Axwell featuring on his Mini-mix for Annie Mac on Radio 1.

“My Love Check” from the new Carl Craig compilation is about my love for longtime hometown Detroit. This video was shot by my best friend, Anthony Garth. We came up in the film business together in Detroit and Anthony shot my first music video in a laundromat. He took me to my first rave and we wore Planet E hats like we were cool back in the day. This was a fun project because Anthony took his crew to capture some great scenes and characters that represent the vibe of the city. My media team here in LA, “The Bens” (Ben Levin + Matthew Benson) cut it together with some really great VFX. Anthony’s black and white footage along with “The Bens” pixel sorting effect combines the classic with the contemporary, something Carl Craig has always been so good at achieving with his music for so many years.
