His last in a string of top quality releases on the mighty Playaz Recordings. It received major love across the board from the likes of Toddla T, Friction, London Electricity and Eddy Temple Morris.
Now the autumn is coming... the days are getting darker and colder, just like Taxman's new release.. Its time for him to drop 'Die Tonight'... A three track collection of sound system rattling, Reggae infused, bass heavy monsters to see you through to Winter.
First up, the title track 'Die Tonight' kicks off with Taxman's trademark reggae sampling antics, then quickly kicks into a killer bass led roller. Next up 'Radar Jammer' blesses the release with some utter dancefloor carnage with its big synths and even bigger drums. Then lastly 'NTS Roller' calms proceedings down a little with Taxman showcasing his deeper & more atmospheric side.
What more can we say? Taxman and Playaz continue to set the standards high and baselines LOW.

That’s a big thing to achieve, and an even bigger thing to maintain.. The combination of earth-scorching deejay sets across the globe, a constant stream of rave-wrecking productions, and a forensic attention to musicality and production levels have made TD an unstoppable force. Now, they’re back with a four-track EP to show that there’s a lot more le in the tank, and this is our rst taste of what it has to offer.
From the rst symphonic, reverberant notes of Grimm, it’s clear that Tantrum Desire isn’t playing around. As classical orchestration blends with synthetic melodies, we’re placed in a three-sixty panoramic landscape, with tension and anticipation turned up to maximum. This isn’t just an exercise in production mastery, it’s also a demonstration of musical arrangement which leaves us in no doubt we’re witnessing expertise in action.And then there’s that bassline. The octave-switching portamento power that leads us into the drop is going to be an irresistible call to the dance oor. Layers of percussion lter and rise until we’re thrown straight into the centre of a riot. Molotov basslines hit baseball bat beats, and it’s carnage. The contrast between the composition of the intro and breakdown with the pounding drive of the drops shows the yin and yang of Tantrum Desire’s sound, and the two sides come together into a beast of a tune. So, in one track, Tantrum Desire has, once again, proven capable of displaying prowess as both composer and party-hyper. This is one for producers to study and unravel, as much as it is for ravers to go crazy to. It’s big, and it’s only the rst little slice of the EP, so better watch out.
Swedish trio BROHUG return to Dim Mak with wicked bass house single “Boogieman,” just in time for Halloween. Fueled by ominous vocals and monstrous drops, the track haunts listeners with an eeriness suitable for the occult.

Bridging the gap between ‘Stronger Together’ - his late summer Beatport #1 and this month’s delivery of his eighth artist album, today Paul van Dyk serves ‘From Then On’s final single trailblazer.
Operating on one level as a vintage slice of serotonin-homing, primetime van Dyk, ‘I Am Alive’s genesis does hold a deeper meaning for Paul.
The track was the first song he recorded following his accident in the spring of last year. If in that knowledge you sense a degree more vitality running through its melodic arteries, perceive a touch more percussive skip to its step or hear just that bit more joie de vivre in its surrounding ether, well unlikely your feelings are deceiving you.
Threaded throughout are seismically registering 4/4 kicks and charged LFO - both of which bring ‘I Am Alive’ its substantial floor traction. Heartfelt harmonies induce deeper yet states of emotion, while further up the scale its pads & chords develop less apparent, more complex atmospheres. At its top end meanwhile, ‘I Am Alive’s sub & main melodies radiate nothing but outright ‘lust for life’ optimism.
A ‘release’ for Paul in at least two senses of the word and a triumph of the human spirit no less, ‘I Am Alive’ isn’t about survive… it’s about thrive.
