Australian producer and dj LOCKJAW unveils a special retrospective for the tenth release of his boutique label LOCKED CONCEPT, with the pair of tracks that opened the imprint from the man himself getting remixed alongside revisions of tracks from key label artists CREMATORIUM, TELLUS and THE SNEAK. Crematorium's lush futurescape 'Those Misty Trees' (which saw BBC airtime at the hands of Friction) gets the attention of Lockjaw, who steps up the energy with an insistent strain of tech-fuelled percussion whilst retaining the verdant pads and burial-esque vocal of the original. The remaining remixes express Locked Concept's diverse nature, with Tellus sculpting Lockjaw's track 'Letting Go' into a nocturnal form of laid-back decadent halfstep that bathes the ears in warm sub. The Sneak goes in on another Lockjaw track, elevating 'With You' into a smooth breed of liquid that steps up the energy with classic style. Finally Crematorium goes full on into stripped future garage, with delicate beats riding on a tightly filtered tidal reese and sublime vocal ellements.
