Global Nomads Productions presents "Behind Every Sound there is a Story" a quote by Gregory Markus; one of the founders of RE:VIVE. In collaboration with the SAE Institute, a Session was held in Amsterdam in May 2016. Sessions are held around the world where artists and archives work collaboratively to create new music solely using historic materials.
A Sample pack with 56 archives of Amsterdam were presented to the students. and this specific composition is based on the raw sounds of the field recordings without adding any effects. This project was made possible thanks to the Nederlands Institute for Sounds and Vision, RE:VIVE and the SAE Institute.
