2014 stands as a defining moment for the RAM Records imprint. Not only did it announce the pivotal signing of artists like Audio, Teddy Killerz and Bensley but they also oversaw the birth of compilation series RAMLife hosted by Loadstar. Even in its first form, it contained nearly every essential release the last twelve months had to offer.

But this year, RAMLife is taking you into deeper and murkier dimensions. Having already flexed his production muscle on the ricocheting, four-track ‘Nil by Mouth’ EP, as well as his first visual debut in the music video for ‘Heads Up’, it’s now time for Audio to cut open and expose his musical psyche.

Including some of the most aggressive, technically adept and prominent artists the genre has to offer, including Bad Company, Optiv & BTK and Noisia to name a few, no stone goes unturned for the album’s entirety. Audio also throws bass-fuelled bullets in the form of exclusives, with explosive VIPs that have yet to be released.


But what can you expect from the man who garners such an explosive reputation across the club circuit? Audio brings his live personality into the whole album and accompanying mix; one that doesn’t let you pause for breath. They’re a collection of tracks that’ll leave an atomic bomb sized impression inside the community, which further solidifies his reputation as an ever- growing, unstoppable goliath.

2014 marked the year international electronic musician PAUL VAN DYK returned to the singles realm with “Come With Me (We Are One),” a collaboration between the electronic music overlord and Turkish/Dutch wonderkind Ummet Ozcan, “Only In A Dream” with Jessus & Ahdam Ashraf featuring Tricia McTeague and “Guardian” with Aly & Fila featuring Sue McLaren--three fiercely infectious pieces of floor-propelling electronic music. Over late December/early January 2015, the original mix of “Guardian” roared across floors, claiming the #2 spot on Beatport’s trance chart in the process. Now the track has been remixed for Guardian (The Remixes), a four-track EP that will be made available on February 10 on Ultra Music. Pre-order is available now at: smarturl.it/GuardianRMXs

Along with the release of the Guardian (The Remixes) EP, PAUL VAN DYK will return to the U.S. for a short support tour launching tomorrow, February 6 in San Francisco. Other stops planned for February include Seattle, San Antonio, Dallas, New York, San Diego and Los Angeles. PvD will also return to Miami to appear at the Ultra Music Conference in March. “Guardian” brings together PvD, Aly & Fila, three producers long celebrated for wowing the clubbing lands with their height-of-the-night productions. For the remix EP, the trio’s Sunrise and Sunset mixes drop some expectation-subverting versions into “Guardian”’s equation. Unexpected, different, surprising even, their more recumbent tones, dovetailed to Sue McLaren’s sweetly sung vocals and bittersweet lyrics, mass to take music lovers to places they may never wish to return from. For his mix, Goodgreef’s Jordan Suckley goes pole-to-pole delivering a rework that seismically blasts “Guardian” through to the heart of 6am. Tough, on an almost cellular level, Suckley’s thunderous remap will thoroughly test the mettle of your club’s speakers. Then Pedro Del Mar & R.I.B take the track on a chilled ride to the lounge side. Linking the circle back to the Sunrise and Sunset mixes, the two deliver a richly produced, brilliantly structured revision perfect for the ride home after a long night of revelry.
